Photoshop and PSD Covers Save My Day: Showcasing My Book Covers

Part of our activity in the Instant Virtual Skills training is to generate a Landing page or Sales page for a book. Our training guru and my mentor, Jomar Hilario, have given us the title of books to work on. I’ve created first a book cover which I’m going to use for the Landing page. I’m fortunate that one of my classmate on the training mentioned about the PSD covers, thanks to Ms. Alfie for sharing the PSD cover mockups with the group.

So I went to this website www.psdcovers.com and here you can find different kinds of mockups and there are heaps of them that you can select for your book cover.

To come up with a book cover the first thing that you need to do is to download the book cover template of your choice in www.psdcovers.com. Second, to edit the book cover using an editing software called Photoshop by Adobe. I don’t have any idea yet on how to make use of the Photoshop to create my book cover. And for a first-timer like me, I need to find out how to do it using this tool together with the PSD cover. Where or to whom did I seek help then? Did you make a wild guess? Yeah right! I have to Google it. It pays to have a lot of patience in looking for an answer and thanking God I was able to find the quick fix to my problem. I’m glad to finally be able to make my own book cover and I want to share with you the end result.

Looks superb to me. Now, it’s your turn to try it. Rest assured you’ll gonna enjoy making your own book cover and will love your masterpiece as well. By the way, please feel free to give your own perspective about the book cover, appreciate it very much.

Cheers! 😀
