Dr. Josephine T.R. Holgado, M.D., D.P.P.S., graduated with a degree of Bachelor of Science Major in Biology at the University of the Philippines, Diliman, Quezon City. She took up Medicine at the Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation in Morayta, Manila. She completed her residency training in General Pediatrics at the Department of Pediatrics at the University of the Philippines College of Medicine - Philippine General Hospital in Taft Avenue, Manila.
Doc Joy, as she is fondly called, is a certified diplomate of the Philippine Pediatric Society - Southern Tagalog Chapter. She has a successful private practice for the past 20 years as a general pediatrician at Calamba Medical Center in Calamba City, Laguna. She is also a pediatric integrative medicine practitioner at the Wellnessland Health Institute Manila (WHIM). She also gives talk on health issues as part of the advocacy of Self-Health Empowerment Movement (SHEM).
